How I train
My methods
My method of training has been developed over the course of 10 years. As a professional Ballerina I grew up doing a combination of body weight conditioning, yoga and multiple forms of dance.
I am a firm believer that body weight training is the best form of exercise. Simply put, bodyweight training is a type of strength training that doesn’t require you to use any weights or gym equipment. Instead of using bulky equipment, this type of exercise weight of your own body as resistance for all of your movements. Good examples of this type of exercise include things like sit ups, pushups, pull ups, lunges, squats, and planks, among many others.

- All workouts are designed specifically for your capabilities to reach your personal goals
- The workouts are designed around the equipment that you have at your disposal, no need to set up a full home gym
- Sessions are 60mins in length
- Training time slots are scheduled according to availability
- Reassessments are done at the end of every month (or 10 sessions) to measure your progress

Poor Monday. For most of my adult life, I have struggled with my weight and always picked on Monday as day one of the week to start implementing positive change. Coincidently, it was on a Monday in January this year that I started my journey with the magical Kirsten of Fitness by Kirsten. Not only does Kirsten eat, breathe and live her brand which is inspiration in itself, but you cannot help but feel doubly inspired by the very nature of this beautiful soul. Kirsten’s smile and laugh lights up the room and even when you are in the middle of your least favourite exercise, you somehow manage to smile and laugh with her.
I am someone who typically doesn’t like routine, but I have learned that if routine entails my training session with Kirsten, I feel somewhat out of sorts without this. I have learned that it is never too late to start implementing positive change. I have learned that my first session with Kirsten was the first day (day one) of the rest of my life.”
